GETTING STARTED IS SIMPLE
We’re located in Baton Rouge, La. We also have a satellite office in Key West, FL. We’ve designed websites for small businesses across the country so our location is not critical to any of our client projects.
One of our designers will contact you to get started on your design. We’ll ask you general questions, such as what pages you’d like and what layout you’d like. Then, we’ll start on the design process.
1) Domain Name: This is your website’s name and has an annual fee of $14.99/year. You may already own a domain name through a domain name provider. If you have not already registered a name then we can register a name for you. For example, ours is “www.ApexSoftwareDesign.com”.
2) Web Hosting: When someone types in your website name, your website files are loaded from a server. This server is referred to as a “web host” and allows your website to remain online 24 hours a day. This is a monthly fee of $19.95/month which includes our Added Value Reporting Services.
Yes! We use WordPress as our development system which has a robust administrative system. We will supply you an administrative login to your website. You can make any edits to your website yourself. Or, you can request for one of our web designers to make edits for you (charges may apply depending on the complexity of the edits. We charge $35.00 per hour additional changes).
Yes. Your website will be formatted correctly for mobile devices including iPhones, Android phones, tablets and computers. Our company uses the latest mobile responsive technology available on the market today.
You can let our designers start a design from scratch or you can search the web to find one or several websites that you like. This will give our designers a great starting point. You can then email us the links to the websites you like and our designers will customize the layout so it’s completely unique to your business.
A page is any menu item. For example, “Home”, “Website Design”, “View Samples” are each considered a page. Each Web Design package comes with a set amount of pages. Each additional page is $79.99. You can start small and add pages as your business grows. Each page can contain up to 4 images/pictures supplied by you. If you ask us to purchase pictures on your behalf, we will pre-approve the images/pictures cost with you.
You can e-mail us any content you have such as wording and pictures. Since you know your business best, it’s a good idea to write the content and send it in to us to add to your website. You do not need to have all the content ready to get started. We often use “filler content” to get started that can be replaced once you have the content ready. This allows us to get started sooner, which allows us to have the website ready sooner.
We currently do not program the e-commerce items. The WordPress platform that we use for your website does allow many e-commerce plugins to be used. We can install a plugin for you and then you or anyone else can configure all of the e-commerce items to create a fully functioning online store front.
